Having worked with Officer Paul Barker and his Tae Kwon Do program for several years, I can say with certainty that the program has benefited many of my former clients. The discipline and positive reinforcement that the students receive by Officer Barker, are, in large part, responsible for the number of successful Black Belt students coming from his program. Two young brothers (Siddique) living at Washington Square signed up for Officer Paul Barker.s Tae Kwon Do program over at the Department of Recreation. Due to encouragement and understanding the discipline of Tae Kwon Do, both brothers eventually became black belts. They certainly could have gotten side-tracked, but with encouragement of both parents, staff and Officer Barker, the two students eventually reached their goal.
I would certainly recommend his program to anyone who wants their child/children to learn the importance of forming good habits and discipline which are not only inherent in the Tae Kwon Do Program, but, in large part, to becoming successful in life.
